Interview: 40%
- You will have a panel interview with three judges. The interview is 2-4 minutes in duration. The judges have a copy of your biographical sketch, and many of the questions are based on information that you have provided. Please keep a copy of your bio-sketch so that you can review before your interview.
- Your outfit is your choice but should be age-appropriate and business dress.
- The judges' score will be based on poise and self-confidence.
Evening Wear: 30%
- Evening wear should be age-appropriate and should be formal.
- Freshmen are encouraged to wear a dress with a full skirt, not a form-fitting sequined dress.
- The judges' score will be based on appearance, age-appropriate dress selection, walk, and poise.
Community Service: 5%
- Service will be judged from information in your biographical sketch and from your interview response to a question on community service.
- Scores range from 1-5 points.
- Judges recognize that younger contestants are just beginning community involvement and will not judge them as strictly.
